California based Opener made four piloted flights of its BlackFly ultralight eVTOL aircraft at the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in July.
The Vertical Flight Society interviewed Opener’s new CEO Ken Karklin and remote pilot Wyatt Warner who recently became one of the company’s new demonstration pilots.
The video also includes footage of evening BlackFly demonstration flights at AirVenture by manufacturing engineer Caleb Goldstein on July 26, Wyatt Warner on July 27, and software engineer Bodhi Connolly on July 29. The BlackFly also flew during the day from Wittman Regional Airport’s main runway on July 30.
