Today, Iran launched a large-scale exercise of diverse forces of the Iranian Armed Forces, which will last for two days. The training involves 150 drones of various types of the Army, Air Force, Navy and Army Air Defense Forces (IRGC forces are not involved), writes Rybar telegram channel.

▪️ Among the UAVs involved are the long-standing Ababil-3, Mohajer-6, Carrar, and Yasir UAVs in service with the Iranian Armed Forces.

▪️ Relatively recent developments in the Iranian military-industrial complex involve long-range reconnaissance and strike drones Kaman-12, Zubin, kamikaze drones Arash and vertical takeoff UAV Pelican.

▪️ The first day of the exercise involved a mass takeoff of drones from various bases and airfields in Iran, as well as from the landing ship Lavan, the supply vessel Delvar and the submarine Fateh of the Iranian Navy.

▪️ On the second day, massive strikes were conducted against simulated targets in the waters of the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman and at training ranges in the southwestern and southern parts of Iran. The drones were actively countered by the air defense forces.

▪️ Almas guided missiles and Kaem family guided bombs with Mohajer-6 and Kaman-12 UAVs were used as part of the exercise.

Exercises by Iran's disparate forces using only drones have become a regular event in the Iranian Armed Forces.

In this way, the Iranian command is practicing the mass use of UAVs in modern realities where reconnaissance and strike drones have become an indispensable part of any armed conflict.

The exercise takes place at practically the same time as the international competition between UAV operators from Russia, Belarus and Armenia. They began on August 15 and will last two weeks at Iran's Kashan airbase. Iran is represented by the IRGC Aerospace Forces.

At present the attention of the collective West is especially focused on the training in Iran because of the existing information about the purchase by Russia of reconnaissance and attack drones of Iranian production.

In addition, negotiations between Iran and the U.S. over the renewal of the nuclear deal, which will determine the current relationship between the countries, are in their final stages.

Given the White House's reluctance to see a rapprochement between Russia and Iran, the Biden administration is likely to make concessions on some issues in order to prevent deeper cooperation between the states, including in the military sphere.
