A Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq  published a statement by a pro-Iran militia claiming that on May 13, 2022, the group carried out an uninterrupted 22-minute reconnaissance flight over the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, using a Fitiyyah 1 drone. The statement claimed that the flight was conducted in response to the Embassy's announcement the previous day that a live-fire exercise will be carried out over the city. The channel also shared video footage of the alleged flight. Notably, the official Telegram channel of the pro-Iran militia did not post a statement.
