King Dedede goes for the craziest possible edge guard option and it pays off massively at Super Smash Bros. Ultimate event

The Smash World Tour Europe Ultimate Regional Finals is underway this weekend. Those who performed particularly well in Europe's online qualifiers for the Smash World Tour are competing for a chance to enter the world finals.

At one point during the event, Hasuki|Tomberry's Snake faced off against Peli's secondary, King Dedede (uses Sonic as his main in most match ups). During the second match, Peli went for an absolutely bonkers edge guard with King Dedede against Snake.

By this point in the match, Peli had an extra stock over Tomberry. After Snake's respawn invincibility wore off, King Dedede immediately pushed him off the stage thanks to his Inhale special.

In a struggle to get back to the stage, Snake then opted to use his Cypher recovery. However, the Cypher drone ended up becoming a projectile after Snake was knocked off by King Dedede's forward aerial.

After recovering from the hitstun caused by the Cypher, King Dedede immediately used his up special to travel off stage. Unfortunately for Tomberry's Snake, he was in the path of King Dedede's up special as he began his self destructive descent to the bottom blast zone.

This caused Tomberry to immediately panic and attempt to air dodge his way back to the ledge. Who can blame him? This isn't an edge guard tactic you see everyday.

Inevitably, Tomberry was too far to make it back. Since this was Tomberry's last stock, Peli was rewarded with a victory for his bold play.
